Zendaya’s Fashion Serve: Star Shines In Edgy Vera Wang Corset At Challengers Premiere

ZENDAYA surely knows how to turn heads with her fashion choices. On Tuesday, the Dune star graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming film Challengers, flaunting yet another stunning ensemble. 

Departing from her previous nods to her tennis star character in her press tour outfits, this time she opted for a Vera Wang ball gown. The gown boasted intricate details, featuring a black lace satin corset bodice adorned with boning that elegantly framed the lace fabric. 

Resting atop a baby pink satin full ball gown skirt, the corset straps added a touch of edge to the ensemble. Layers of pink satin fabric combined with black tulle peeked through the centre slit of the skirt, adding depth to the look.

Keeping her accessories understated, the Emmy-winning actress adorned herself with only diamond stud earrings and a singular diamond ring. Her hair, artfully styled by Ursula Stephen, was fashioned into a loose high bun with a few strands left to cascade gracefully. Completing the ensemble, she sported a soft glam makeup look, with rosy pink cheeks complementing her lip gloss and accentuating her vibrant eyeshadow.

Zendaya, in collaboration with her stylist Law Roach, continues to excel in her Challengers wardrobe. Earlier in April, at the Sydney premiere in Australia, she dazzled in a glittering green Loewe gown adorned with a striking graphic of a tennis player. Alongside her co-stars Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, Zendaya has relied on Loewe and creative director Jonathan Anderson for their promotional wardrobe, a fitting choice given Anderson’s involvement in the film’s costume design.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes, Challengers is a romantic sports film set in 2024, starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist. The plot follows Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, whose strategy to redeem her husband’s losing streak takes an unexpected turn when he must confront his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. 

Premiering in Sydney on March 26, 2024, the film is slated for release in theatres and IMAX in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios on April 26, 2024, coinciding with the centennial anniversary of MGM’s founding on April 17.
