PRINCE Harry might be nearing a decision to give up his Royal titles, having proclaimed the United States as his “new country” in recent official documents. In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle departed from the Royal Family to settle in California. Recent filings in the UK reveal that Prince Harry has officially designated the United States as his primary residence.

This update, reported by Sky News, originates from documents filed for Travalyst, a sustainable tourism charity founded by Harry. The filings list the Duke under his full title – Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex.

The development comes after the Duke of Sussex recently mentioned contemplating applying for US citizenship, a move that would require him to relinquish his Royal titles. Arthur Edwards, a Royal photographer, interprets this development as a sign that Harry may soon renounce his Royal titles. 

Speaking to The Sun, he expressed his belief that Harry’s attachment to the Royal Family has waned. Edwards speculated that Harry has resolved to make America his permanent home, potentially even pursuing US citizenship, which would necessitate giving up his title as the Duke of Sussex.

Expressing a touch of sadness, Edwards remarked on Harry’s once-central role in the royal family and his widespread affection. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, may revisit the idea of US citizenship during his upcoming trip to the UK next month. While he previously mentioned the notion in interviews, indicating it’s not a top priority, his return to the UK coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games, an event he founded.
