The Witcher Season 4, 5 Announced With Liam Hemsworth; Cast Assembles For Table Read
The Witcher has officially been renewed for fifth and final season, with season 4 officially in production.
THE Witcher fans received bittersweet news as the fantasy series approaches its conclusion. Netflix announced on Thursday that Season 5 will mark the end of the saga, as reported by Variety. Currently, the fourth season is in production.
A teaser of the Season 4 table read was released by the streaming service, featuring Liam Hemsworth and the ensemble cast. Anya Chalotra portrays the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Geralt’s ward Ciri, Joey Batey as Jaskier the bard, Cassie Clare as the witch Philippa Eilhart, and Mahesh Jadu as the mage Vilgefortz of Roggeveen.
Season 4 will introduce Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia, succeeding Henry Cavill who departed the role after the third season. Hemsworth expressed his enthusiasm, acknowledging Cavill’s portrayal and the honour of taking on the character’s mantle for the next stage of the story.
The upcoming seasons will adapt Andrzej Sapkowski’s remaining Witcher novels: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake. However, a release date for Season 4 has not been disclosed yet.
