Brandon Blackstock Fires Back: Kelly Clarkson's Lawsuit Drama Continues After $2.6M Judgment

BRANDON Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s former husband, has finally responded to her lawsuit that accused him of owing her millions. In November 2023, a California labor commissioner ruled that Brandon, who served as Kelly’s manager from 2017 to 2020, owed the singer about $2.6 million in unpaid commissions for exceeding his legal authority.

Kelly asserted that Brandon, her spouse of seven years, owed her a massive amount. Kelly brought her case to a Los Angeles court, and alleged that Brandon had been breaching state regulations since 2007. She entered into an oral agreement with his father, Narvel Blackstock’s company, Starstruck Management in 2007.

In a recent counter lawsuit, Brandon and Starstruck Management reportedly refuted “each and every allegation” put forth by Kelly. The filing sought the dismissal of Kelly’s lawsuit on the grounds that the November 2023 ruling “is legally binding on her.”

Brandon and his legal representatives also contended that Kelly failed to submit a notice of appeal within the stipulated ten-day period following the ruling. Furthermore, they argued that Kelly’s filing was not within the appropriate jurisdiction to initiate another lawsuit.
