HENRY Cavill fans have been waiting for years to see their favourite movie star in a James Bond role. Seems like their wish has been granted as a faux Bond movie trailer featuring the former Superman star has been garnering millions of views on YouTube, despite its complete fabrication.

Titled Bond 26, the trailer introduces Cavill as the prospective new Bond by amalgamating clips from various films and leveraging artificial intelligence. The trailer also boldly casts Margot Robbie as a Bond girl. Watch:

Thus far, this aspiring trailer has amassed 2.4 million views in 4 days, presumably attracting both fans who relish it as a speculative endeavour and those who have been momentarily deceived by its authenticity.

Creator KHStudio clarifies, “Please note that this video is a concept trailer created solely for artistic and entertainment purposes,” adding, “I have meticulously incorporated various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements to bring my vision to life. Its purpose is purely artistic, aiming to entertain and engage with the YouTube community. My goal is to showcase my creativity and storytelling skills through this trailer. Thank you for your support, and let’s dive into the world of imagination.”

Several users took to the comments section of the trailer to give their reactions. One user wrote, “Can someone please start a petition to make Henry the next James Bond?  I have nothing against Aaron Taylor but will all know Henry was the best fit for this.” Another comment read, “Henry Cavill bloody well owns the role! He is perfect! Powerful sexy and ultra classy. Shaken not stirred needs that man!!!!! Bond on steroids!”

Meanwhile, recent speculation has centred on Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the latest rumoured (albeit unconfirmed) top choice for the role.

Cavill is currently promoting his Guy Ritchie-directed World War II action film, “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” which hits theatres this weekend. Once again, he was questioned about the possibility of assuming the Bond mantle.

“I have no idea,” Cavill told The Rich Eisen Show. “All I’ve got to go off is the rumours. The same information you have. Maybe I’m too old now, maybe I’m not. It’s up to [producers] Barbara Broccoli and Mike Wilson and we’ll see what their plans are.”
