If you’re a fan of K-dramas, you must have watched or heard of the drama series ‘Suspicious Partner’. One of the most popular Korean television dramas, the show starred Ji Chang-wook and Nam Ji-hyun in the lead roles and was released in 2017.

‘Suspicious Partner’ is now all set to get an Indian adaptation. The show will be remade in Hindi by the name ‘A Legal Affair’. Bollywood actor Angad Bedi, who was also seen in the drama film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, will be starring in the lead role in the remake series

Along with Angad Bedi, popular OTT star Barkha Singh will also be starring in the Hindi remake of ‘Suspicious Partner’. The series will be airing on Jio Cinemas.

Talking about the show in an official statement, Angad Bedi said that it will be tricky remaking the series as the original was already a big hit. “A Legal Affair is a legal drama based on a lawyer and his associate and the affair they have. It’s an intense romantic drama, a genre I haven’t dabbled in before.”

“I did essay the role of a lawyer previously but that was a different space altogether which was based on a real life Murad case. Also, this show is an official adaptation of the K-drama, Suspicious Partner, which is already such a successful show,” the actor added. “It’s kind of tricky since the Korean version was already a hit, so people have high expectations and it’s up to the actors and makers what more they can bring to the show,” Angad Bedi said in the statement.

For the unversed, ‘Suspicious Partner’ is an intense romantic drama series and revolves around a young woman who grows close to a prosecutor as she works with him as a trainee in a murder case. Things take a turn when she inexplicably becomes a suspect and what happens next forms the narrative of the show.

‘A Legal Affair’ will be directed by Karan Darra and is slated for a release by the end of this year.
