BRITISH actress Jodie Turner-Smith has shared insights into her separation from Canadian actor Joshua Jackson. In an interview with The Times, the Queen & Slim star reflected on the end of their marriage, acknowledging that sometimes things don’t work out as planned.

“Sometimes things we want to work just don’t end up working,” Turner-Smith stated. “And that’s OK. The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and your children.”

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, parted ways last year, with Turner-Smith filing for divorce in October 2023. They share a three-year-old daughter named Juno Jackson.

Despite the challenges of her personal life, Turner-Smith expressed contentment with her current circumstances. “I feel like the world is my oyster. I’m pinching myself, it’s insane!” she exclaimed. “I love what I do. It excites me, it thrills me, it fulfills me.”

Turner-Smith emphasized her commitment to growth and self-care, stating, “All I want is to grow, get better, to learn from what I’ve done and to constantly move. And all the while make sure that I’m looking after myself and everyone around me.”

Reflecting on her divorce, Turner-Smith emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself and making necessary changes. “There are many different moments in our life where we look at ourselves and say, ‘Who am I and am I being true to that?'” she explained.

Acknowledging the bravery in recognizing when something isn’t working, Turner-Smith aims to set an example for her daughter. “The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something’s not working and to make a move,” she asserted.

Looking ahead, Turner-Smith remains optimistic, viewing the separation as a step forward into a better life for everyone involved. With upcoming projects like The Acolyte and Bad Monkey, she continues to embrace new opportunities and experiences.
