Lisa Kudrow Shares Unseen Throwback Pic With Matthew Perry, Pays Tribute

Lisa Kudrow took to her Instagram account to share an unseen picture with Matthew Perry and thanked him for a host of things throughout the years.

LISA Kudrow, who portrayed Phoebe on the beloved sitcom Friends, fondly remembered her late co-star Matthew Perry, known as ‘Chandler,’ days after his passing. Taking to Instagram, Kudrow shared a nostalgic photo and reminisced about their journey from shooting the pilot to the NBC Upfronts. 

Lisa expressed gratitude for Perry’s suggestion to play poker, turning those moments into joyous memories during their initial bond. “Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts. Then… You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded,” she wrote.

Kudrow extended her thanks for Perry’s humor that left her in fits of laughter daily and acknowledged his open heart in navigating their six-way relationship on-screen. “Thank you for that. Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of “talking.” Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant,” the actor added.

She concluded with heartfelt appreciation for the decade of learning grace and love through their friendship and added, “Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew.”

Matthew Perry, passed away on October 28 at the age of 54. The funeral was held on November 3 and was attended by the lead stars of Friends including Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc.
