SARA Ramirez, the American actor, has reportedly take an exit from the Sex and the City spinoff series And Just Like That…. Ramirez portrayed Che, a non-binary comedian, writer, and podcast producer, who aided Carrie in her transition from newspaper columnist to sex-advice podcaster throughout the show’s two seasons.

By the conclusion of Season 2, Che Diaz, played by Ramirez, and Miranda Hobbs, portrayed by Cynthia Nixon, had parted ways permanently, each moving on to pursue new relationships. A source close to production informed Deadline last month that Che’s storyline had reached its conclusion, indicating Ramirez would not return for Season 3.

While there’s a possibility for Che to reappear due to their strong friendship with Carrie Bradshaw, Max, the streaming service, declined to comment on the matter.

Earlier reports from the Daily Mail suggested Ramirez’s departure was linked to their pro-Palestine social media posts, but sources clarified to Deadline that this information was inaccurate. Ramirez seemingly addressed the news with an Instagram post a day later, urging followers not to be distracted by tabloids and to remain informed about the situation in Gaza.

About And Just Like That

In And Just Like That…, Che initially met Miranda, Esq. through Carrie and formed an immediate connection. Miranda’s involvement with Che ultimately led to her separation from Steve and subsequent divorce. Their bond led them to Los Angeles in Season 2, where they collaborated on a pilot for a potential series featuring Tony Danza as their father.

However, their return to the East Coast marked the unraveling of their relationship, with Che eventually finding employment at a veterinary clinic and encountering someone new.

Despite the absence of a romantic relationship between Ramirez and Nixon’s characters, they remain close friends. Meanwhile, Nixon is currently starring Off-Broadway in Jordan Seavey’s The Seven Year Disappear, under the direction of Scott Elliott.
