THE weekend is almost here and fans of kdramas can’t keep calm. The highly anticipated airing of the finale episodes of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won-starrer Queen of Tears will be airing this Saturday and Sunday, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the unraveling of its conclusion.

Following the previous episode’s climactic ending in Episode 13, anticipation for the forthcoming episodes is at its peak. To ensure a satisfying conclusion, the drama will be extended with additional finale episodes, 14 and 15.

Ahead of the finale, tvN announced that Queen of Tears will commence airing ten minutes earlier than usual, indicating an extended runtime. Additionally, two special episodes are scheduled after the finale, airing on May 4th and 5th. During these specials, the cast will engage with fans by addressing their questions and sharing amusing comments.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won will not participate in media interviews post-finale, confirmed by Gold Medalist and Hijium Studio. Despite wrapping filming in February, commitments like commercial shoots prevent engagement. Challenges arose in sharing behind-the-scenes insights with fans.

In Queen of Tears, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, and Kwak Dong Yeon portray characters in a business romance drama. The narrative follows Baek Hyun Woo, the legal director of Queens Group, and Hong Hae In, the heiress of a chaebol family. Despite facing numerous obstacles, they tie the knot, only to drift apart with time. However, a pivotal event reignites their lost love, amidst familial and business intrigues.

The drama’s popularity is evident as it ranked 9th on Netflix’s list of Top TV Shows worldwide, encompassing both English and non-English categories, as of April 18th. Notably, Queen of Tears surpassed the viewership record of Crash Landing on You, becoming tvN’s highest-rated drama to date.
