KIM Soo Hyun, who is currently being seen in the kdrama Queen of Tears, has once again made headlines showcasing his unwavering commitment to national duty. Amidst his flourishing popularity, the Korean heartthrob exemplified his patriotism by engaging in reserve force training alongside 490 fellow trainees.

In a heartfelt message to his fans on April 23 via the fandom social networking service Bubble, Kim Soo Hyun warmly introduced himself as Army Sergeant Kim, recounting his day spent bonding with new comrades. Despite his hectic schedule and rising stardom, Kim Soo Hyun’s decision to prioritize military training underscores his profound sense of duty and citizenship. This return to service holds special significance, considering his prior enlistment in October 2017 and subsequent public service period due to a cardiac surgery. His determination to serve on the frontline led to re-examinations and a placement in first-degree military service, where he achieved the rank of sergeant in a front-line reconnaissance battalion within the 1st Division.

Following his discharge from military service in July 2019, Kim Soo Hyun made a triumphant return to the entertainment world, delighting fans with cameo appearances in popular dramas like Crash Landing on You and Hotel Del Luna. However, it was his leading role in It’s Okay Not to Be Okay that solidified his status as a powerhouse actor.
