On Prince Louis’ 6th Birthday, Kensington Palace Shares New Picture Clicked By Kate Middleton

PRINCE Louis, the youngest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, celebrated his sixth birthday on Tuesday. Despite the Princess of Wales’ ongoing cancer treatment, she was credited with capturing and releasing a heartwarming photo of the smiling prince, which was shared directly on the couple’s social media platforms. Unlike previous years, the photo wasn’t given to media outlets under embargo before its release.

The latest photo of Louis, described as an “unedited close-up image” by Britain’s Press Association, was accompanied by a message from his parents, the future king and queen of Britain, thanking well-wishers for his birthday greetings. The photo was credited to “The Princess of Wales,” Kate’s official title.

This follows a recent controversy surrounding a digitally altered Mother’s Day photo of Kate and her children, which prompted leading news agencies to withdraw it. Originally intended to quell speculation about her health, the revelation that the image was edited only fueled rumors. Shortly after, Kate announced she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for an unspecified cancer.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Prince Louis’ sixth birthday, Kate Middleton received a surprise honor from her father-in-law, King Charles. People reported that the 75-year-old monarch appointed her as the Royal Companion of the Order of the Companions of Honour, a historic first for the princess.

King Charles III bestowed this honor upon Princess Catherine in acknowledgment of her exceptional public service, creating a unique role of Royal Companion within the Order specifically for her. According to the official royal family website, the Companion of Honour, founded by King George V, is a distinguished award recognizing recipients’ contributions to the arts, science, medicine, and government over a prolonged period.

With only 65 members permitted at a time, notable names on the list include David Attenborough, Elton John, Anna Wintour, Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith.
