Kim Kardashian Is 'Over' Taylor Swift Saga After 'thanK you aIMee' Revives Fued
Taylor Swift's song 'thanK you aIMee' is targeted at Kim Kardashian.

THE release of Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has sparked renewed interest in the ongoing feud between the singer and Kim Kardashian. Swift surprised her fans on April 19 with a double album just two hours after the release of her 11th studio album, TTPD: The Anthology

One particular track, thanK you aIMee, caught fans’ attention and fueled speculation that it might be referencing Kardashian, who is 43. In thanK you aIMee, Swift addresses experiences with bullying, with fans noting the capitalized letters in the title (KIM), interpreting it as a potential jab at the SKIMS founder.

A source close to Kardashian told People, “She’s over it and thinks Taylor should move on.” Kardashian “doesn’t understand why she keeps dwelling on it. It’s been years,” the report added. The chorus of thanK you aIMee features lyrics about resilience and healing amidst adversity, with Swift seemingly addressing the feud between them.

The feud originated in 2016 when Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West referenced Swift in his song Famous. Swift denied approving the controversial lyrics, leading to a public dispute between the two camps.

In her 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile, Swift reflected on the toll the feud took on her mental health, describing it as a psychologically challenging experience.

Following the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift shared on Instagram that the album reflects a fleeting yet intense period in her life, marked by both sensational and sorrowful moments. She emphasized the cathartic nature of songwriting, suggesting that expressing one’s deepest emotions through art can lead to healing and liberation.
