Gen V star Chance Perdomo dies at the age of 27.

FOLLOWING the unfortunate passing of Chance Perdomo, known for his roles in TV series like Gen V and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the filming of Season 2 production for Gen V has been indefinitely postponed. The cast and producers of Prime Video’s Gen V were scheduled to convene in Toronto for the first table read of Season 2, preceding the start of production on April 8 in the Canadian city. However, Perdomo’s sudden demise has left everyone in shock.

While details surrounding the circumstances of his death remain scarce, it is believed that Perdomo passed away late last night or early this morning in Upstate New York, en route to Toronto. According to authorities, the actor’s representatives have confirmed that no other individuals were involved in the incident.

Following a period to mourn Perdomo’s unexpected loss, the series’ writers and producers will confront the challenge of navigating the show’s future without one of its lead actors. They must decide whether to overhaul the new season, rewriting scripts to accommodate the absence of Perdomo’s character, or opt to recast the role.

On Gen V, Perdomo portrayed Andre Anderson, a popular student with the ability to manipulate magnetism. In addition to his role in the spinoff of The Boys, he starred alongside Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn.

A statement released on behalf of Perdomo’s family and representatives emphasizes his profound passion for the arts and zest for life, sentiments deeply felt by those who knew him. The note requests privacy for the grieving family as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.
