Biden Administration Backs Prince Harry Amid Deportation Speculations; What We Know
Joe Biden supports Prince Harry.

THE latest update on Prince Harry’s potential deportation has received support from the Biden administration, as revealed in recent court filings reported by GB News. A contentious legal battle revolves around the Duke of Sussex’s visa documents following his admission of drug use in both the UK and the US in his book Spare. This revelation puts Harry at risk of deportation if he used illegal substances before obtaining his US visa.

The Heritage Foundation initiated legal action against the Department of Homeland Security to access Harry’s visa records to determine if he misrepresented facts on his paperwork. However, a report in GB News revealed that lawyers representing the Biden administration have echoed statements from US Ambassador Jane Hartley, indicating that President Biden is unlikely to pursue deportation proceedings against Prince Harry.

In response to a question from Kay Burley on Sky News regarding the possibility of Harry’s deportation, Ambassador Hartley stated, “Well, it’s not going to happen in the Biden administration.”

These remarks from Hartley were submitted by the Heritage Foundation in their case to obtain Harry’s visa records. But a recent court filing obtained by Newsweek argues that Hartley’s statement was merely a response to former President Trump’s suggestion of deporting Harry if re-elected.

Contrary to the Heritage Foundation’s claims, the filing asserts that Hartley did not disclose any confidential information about Harry’s immigration status and did not guarantee that he wouldn’t be deported under any circumstances. Instead, her statement aligns with the Biden administration’s stance that Harry’s admission and residence in the US do not suggest government misconduct.

The Biden administration maintains that there were no irregularities in Harry’s immigration process, thus opposing the release of his documents to the public. According to US law, foreign nationals who admit to drug use can be denied entry and visa issuance. However, such disclosure doesn’t automatically result in a ban, but applicants are required to disclose any drug use on their visa applications.
