AR Rahman Extends Wishes Taylor Swift On Release Of Her Latest Album, Sparks Hopes Among Fans For A Collaboration

OSCAR-winning music composer AR Rahman has wished pop star Taylor Swift on the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Rahman – who has often lauded Swift – put out a post on X.

“All the best @taylorswift13  👍 for your latest album #THETORTUEDPOETSDEPARTMENT,” the post read.

Within minutes, fans shared their reactions, expressed hope for a collaboration and made ‘AR Rahman X Taylor Swift’ trend on X.

“Buckle up, music lovers! A.R. Rahman and Taylor Swift are about to drop a collaboration that will shake the world,” one post read.

“This is really great!!. This collaboration and my favourite Looking forward to see this,” another netizen posted on X.

“My excitement level is really high fir this guys,” next post said.

In a recent interaction with Connect FM Canada, Rahman shared his thoughts about Swift. “Whatever she wants! If she wants a dance number, it will be a dance number; if she wants a romantic number, it will be a romantic number. She writes the lyrics anyway!” he said.

“If people take the power of music to do good things, it is great. Michael Jackson had the power to do that. He did a lot of charity concerts and did philanthropic work in Africa. It is nice to see Taylor attaining that. She has gone through so much. She got cheated and made a comeback. She is a good case study and inspiration for musicians.” Rahman added.

Rahman also said that Taylor’s Blank Space is often seen as an inspiration to the world of music.
