Veteran South Star Kazan Khan Dies Of Heart Attack

Kazan, who had been part of the showbiz industry for decades, had featured in several films in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.

Actor Kazan Khan is no more! The actor – who gained massive popularity for his work as an antagonist in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films –  reportedly succumbed to heart attack. Film producer and production controller NM Badusha took to Facebook on June 12 to break the news. “Famous villain actor Kazan Khan died of heart attack,” NM Badusha had posted on Facebook. “He has acted in many films including CID Musa, Varna Pakittu… Condolences,” his post further read.

Following the news of his passing, actor Dileep took to social media to offer his condolences. “Hearty condolences #KazanKhan,” his tweet read.

Dileep had worked with Kazan Khan in films like CID Moosa and Ivan Maryadaraman.

Kazan, who had been part of the showbiz industry for decades, had featured in several films in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada. He has over 50 films to his credit. Some of his popular films include  

CID Moosa, Ullathai Allitha, Mettukudi, The Don and Naam Iruvar Namaku Iruvar.

Following the release of Shaji Kailas’ 1995 film The King, Kazan earned huge popularity in Malayalam. He had essayed the role of Vikram Ghorpade in The King. The film- featuring superstar Mammootty in the lead role- had marked Kazan’s debut as an actor in Malayalam cinema.


In 1992, Kazan made his acting debut as Boopathy in Senthamizh Paattu. Kalaignan, Sethupathi IPS, Duet, Murai Maman, Aanazhagan and Karuppu Nila, are some of his popular films.
