ONE of the biggest box office clashes in the history of Indian cinema, two big budget films will be arriving on the same holiday before 2023 ends. Prabhas’ Salaar – Part One: Ceasefire is all set to lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki this Christmas. While several reports claimed that Prabhas’ action thriller has been postponed yet again due to a delay in post production work, the film is on track to release on December 22, 2023. Reportedly, the makers of Salaar will be releasing the much-awaited trailer of the film on December 1.

No Delay In Salaar

Salaar vs Dunki’s box office clash is one of the most anticipated clashes of recent times. Several trade analysts have been expecting either of the films to change the release date of their film. After multiple reports claimed that Salaar has been postponed to avert the box office clash with Dunki, it is now confirmed that there are no changes to Prabhas’ film’s release date. In addition, the trailer is expected to be unveiled by the end of November or early December.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed the release date of Salaar and wrote on X, “Bigg News: The much awaited Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire trailer to be out on November end or early December. The actioner helmed by Prashanth Neel and featuring Prabhas is creating the excitement among the masses and the film will arrive in cinemas on scheduled date, December 22nd, 2023.”

Salaar vs Dunki

Starring Prabhas in the lead role, Salaar – Part One: Ceasefire is directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. The film also features Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. Initially slated for a September 28 release, Salaar is all set to release worldwide on December 22 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu Kannada and Malayalam languages. The film marks Prabhas’ second big release of the year after Adipurush.

Salaar will be clashing at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and marks the actor-director’s first time on screen collaboration. Also starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, the film will be released on Christmas this year. No specific release date of the film has been confirmed by the makers yet.

Dunki marks Shah Rukh’s third big release of the year after Pathaan and Jawan. 2023 is proving to be a golden year for the actor who created history by becoming the only actor to give two 1000+ films in a single year in the history of Indian cinema. Dunki is expected to break the records held by Jawan.
