Sanjay Dutt Joins Ram Pothineni’s Pan-India Film Double iSmart; See First Look

ON the occasion of Sanjay Dutt’s 64th birthday, the makers of the pan-India film Double iSmart announced him as a cast member with a special first look poster. The film stars Ram Pothineni in the lead role and will be directed by Puri Jagannadh.

Taking to his Instagram account, Sanjay shared the poster, where he was described as the “Big Bull.” Alongside the image, the caption read, “It takes me immense pride to be working with the director of the masses #PuriJagannadh ji and the young energetic Ustaad @ram_pothineni.”

He further added, “Glad to be Playing the #BIGBULL in this sci-fi mass entertainer #DoubleISMART Excited to be teaming up with this super-talented team and Looking forward to the film hitting the screens on MARCH 8th, 2024.”

In the poster, Sanjay could be seen looking dapper in a black suit and a funky hairdo. The actor had a beard and accessorized his look with rings, an exquisite watch, and a tattoo. Sanjay can be seen smoking a cigar with an intense gaze while being surrounded by gun points. 

Double iSmart is the sequel to iSmart Shankar, which was also directed by Puri Jagannadh. The director will be bankrolling the film alongside Charmee Kaur under Puri Connects. The film will be released in theaters worldwide on the festival of Maha Shivaratri next year, on March 8, 2024 in 5 languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. 

Meanwhile, Sanjay also has Thalapathy Vijay’s next film, Leo in his kitty. According to reports, the makers have planned to release his first look from the film this evening.Leo is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and also stars Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan and Mysskin.

The film is set on a massive budget of over Rs 250 crore and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in October 2023.
