Leo First Look Out: Makers Give Fan A Special Treat On Thalapathy Vijay’s Birthday

On the occasion of Thalapathy Vijy’s 49th birthday, director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared the first look from their upcoming film, ‘Leo’.

SUPERSTAR Thalapathy Vijay turns 49 today. On the occasion of his birthday, the makers of his upcoming film Leo treated fans with his first look from the movie.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the first look poster of Leo was unveiled by the makers at midnight. The poster features Vijay in a fierce avatar and a hammer in his hand.

Taking to his Twitter, Lokesh shared the poster and wrote, “#LeoFirstLook is here! Happy Birthday @actorvijay anna! Elated to join hands with you again na! Have a blast! 🤜🤛❤️ #HBDThalapathyVIJAY #Leo.” Take a look:

Several social media users reacted to the first look poster. One user wrote, “The #LeoFirstLook Poster Justify it’s a Bloody sweet !! Hearty birthday wishes to #ThalapathyVijay  ❤️ Have a blast.” Another comment read, “A Pakka Birthday Feast for Fans.”

Leo marks Thalapathy Vijay’s entry to the Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe, which also includes Kamal Haasan’s film Vikram and Karthi’s Kaithi. The film has been shot in Kashmir.

Apart from Thalapathy Vijay, Leo also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy and Mysskin. The shooting for the film is still in progress and is reportedly eyeing a theatrical release in October 2023. 

Leo will have a major Indian release and will also be released in English, German and other foreign languages on OTT. The digital streaming rights for Leo have been acquired by Netflix. 

Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in the January release Varisu. The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna, R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shaam, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sangeetha Krish, VTV Ganesh, S.J Suryah and Suman.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film clashed at the box-office against Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu. Both the films managed to do good business at the box-office. Varisu went on to collect over Rs 300 crore worldwide and became Vijay’s first film to achieve the feat.
