Several fans took to the comments section to react to the Sex Education Season 4 teaser. One user wrote, “I hope everyone in this series gets a good and a happy ending. This is one of those few shows where I like a lot of the characters. We were blessed to have seen the friendship Otis & Eric has. One of the best friendships I have on television. Maeve & Otis till the end!!!”
Another comment read, “End of an era for this show. I remember watching it for the first time & thinking wtf is this but somehow I just couldn’t stop watching with each passing season, easily one of the best shows to date. Sad to see this is the end.”
In a letter to fans, series creator Laurie Nunn wrote, “We are incredibly proud of ‘Sex Education’ and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
The official plot of Sex Education Season 4 will pick up from the closure of Moordale Secondary. Otis and Eric gear up for their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. While Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, Eric is praying they won’t be losers again.
“But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is on another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal,” the official description added.
It further states, “Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus.”
Sex Education Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on September 21, 2023.
