Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Pays Homage To Sidhu Moosewala During US Concert

Rahat dedicated popular qawwali ‘Akhiyan Udeek’ to Moosewala during his concert in California.

In a tribute to Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, popular Pakistani Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang a Qawwali during his concert. Rahat, who is currently in the US for a concert, paid homage to Sidhu on his first death anniversary.

Popular for songs like ‘Jiya dhadak’, ‘Bol na halke’ and ‘Mann ki lagan’, Rahat dedicated popular qawwali ‘Akhiyan Udeek’ to Moosewala during his concert in California.

Moosewala was shot dead last year in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29.

Moosewala enjoyed a massive fan following in India and abroad, courtesy his popular tracks So High, Same Beef, The Last Ride, Just Listen and 295.

Prayers were recently held at Jawahar Ke, Moosewala’s ancestral village, by residents with his mother Charan Kaur in attendance.

A candle march was also organised recently in memory of Moosewala.
