One of the most popular boy bands in the world, the Jonas Brothers have been a name synonymous with all millennials growing up. Comprising brothers Joe, Kevin and Nick, the band reunited after a gap of six years in 2019.

The brothers now also boast separate acting and singing careers alongside their band. In a recent interview, Joe Jonas revealed how he ‘cried tears of jealousy’ when Nick was announced as the judge on the singing reality show, The Voice.

In a joint podcast with Kevin and Nick Jonas, Joe made the admission. The trio also released their sixth Jonas Brothers studio record, ‘The Album’, earlier this month. Speaking on ‘The Armchair Expert’, Joe Jonas told Dax Shephard, “It was at the most picturesque setting, it was at the Fleetwood Mac show at (Madison Square Garden) and as they’re playing ‘Landslide’ I found out that he was going to be a judge on The Voice. I was so jealous I cried my eyes out to ‘Landslide’. It was bittersweet, of course, ’cause I’m super happy for him, but I’m also bummed ’cause I want that f****** gig.”

As per a report in Female First UK, Joe Jonas was a voice coach on the Australian ‘Voice’ for one season in 2018. Nick too got on board and worked as the voice coach on seasons 18 and 20 of the singing reality show. He was then replaced by singer Ariana Grande.

Joe Jonas added, “I just enjoyed the job, so I was like, ‘What the f***? But (Nick) crushed it and, you know, it was great.”

The Jonas brothers enjoyed a jolly time and said their unanimous aim is to see someone ”with the last name Jonas” winning. “We always say we want someone with the last name Jonas to win. That’s our goal,” Nick Jonas said.

The singer also revealed that he and Joe auditioned for the same role in the American TV series, Wicked.

“Yeah, we said, ‘Go in there and kill it ’cause it’s gotta be one of us. It has to be one of us.’ That being said, never got that call,” Joe Jonas added to Nick’s statement.
