Surveen Chawla Looks Like A Ray Of Sunshine In A Yellow Lehenga At Cannes 2023 Debut

ACTOR Surveen Chawla arrived at the French Riviera and how. On Thursday, the actor shared breathtaking pictures of herself in a yellow lehenga as she made her debut at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2023.

Taking to her Instagram account, Surveen posted pictures from a photoshoot from Cannes. The actor wore a stunning yellow lehenga by Seema Gujral. The dupatta added the extra oomph to her outfit which was worn on the sleeves. With a striking necklace, bangles and hand jewelry, the actor rounded off her look by pulling her hair back in a bun. 

Speaking about her Cannes experience, Surveen Chawla said in a statement, “I am thrilled to be back at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and I couldn’t be happier to be here. Cannes is the perfect platform for artists to express themselves, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase my style and represent Indian cinema.”

The actor added, “This year, I wanted to make a statement with my fashion choice, and Seema Gujral design allowed me to do just that. The fusion of classic and contemporary elements in the design perfectly aligned with my personal style. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this incredible journey.”

The 76th Cannes Film Festival began on May 16, 2023. Several Bollywood personalities have made it to the festival this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Esha Gupta, Manushi Chillar, Urvashi Rautela and Aditi Rao Hydari are amongst those who have already marked their presence at Cannes.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s film Kennedy was selected for a midnight screening at Cannes 2023. Starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone in the lead roles, the film screened at the festival and received a 7-minute long standing ovation.

“It’s always special to show your film to the world at Cannes and it’s a lifetime moment to play at the Grand Theatre Lumiere. Kennedy is a very special film to me and extremely personal too,” the filmmaker said in a statement.

Anurag Kashyap added, “We have put our heart and soul into making this film. The 7-minute long standing ovation from the audience has made me full of gratitude. I am very grateful and excited at the same time.”

Anushka Sharma too is expected to make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The festival will conclude on May 27.
