ALIA Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani released in cinemas on Friday. The film is directed by Karan Johar and marks his return to the director’s chair after a gap of nearly 7 years.

This is Alia’s second Karan Johar directorial after her debut film Student of the Year. For Ranveer, it was the first time as a leading man in a Dharma Productions film.

In a video shared by Dharma about the making of the film, Alia and Ranveer sat down to talk about their experience of working on the movie. “My first Dharma film as a leading man is with the man himself, Mr Karan Johar. He has got such good energy, such positive energy. He was my touchstone of positivity,” Ranveer said in the video.

“He lives and breathes entertainment. He lives and breathes cinema. Sometimes I wonder how he does it,” Ranveer added.

Alia too heaped praises on her father figure/mentor/director and said, “I was excited to do a full-fledged Karan Johar-ish cinema kind of movie. He is one of the greatest directors Indian cinema has ever seen. And the best part about Karan is how receptive he is to feedback and collaboration.”

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been garnering a positive word of mouth from the audiences. Several fans took to the comments section to give their feedback about the movie.

One user wrote, “Watched it today and loved every bit of it. As a bollywood fan,so happy that old bollywood is back. Alia and Ranveer just rocked. Their chemistry was soo good. A tight slap to all chemistry teachers in the twitter who was mocking their chemistry.”
