PRABHAS and Kriti Sanon’s latest film, Adipurush has been embroiled in controversies ever since its release last week. From cringeworthy dialogues to hurting religious sentiments, the makers have been slammed by the critics and audiences for their adaptation of the Hindu mythological epic, Ramayana.

Amidst all the controversies, Kriti Sanon took to her social media account on Monday to post multiple videos from the screening of Adipurush in theatres. The caption of her post read, “Focusing on the cheers and claps!” Take a look:

Kriti’s sister Nupur Sanon reacted to her post and wrote, “Proud of you.” Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra too posted heart emojis on her post.

The row around Adipurush and its dialogues have escalated in the past few days. Several cities in Nepal have banned the movie along with all other Bollywood films from being screened.

Meanwhile, the makers of Adipurush have announced that they will revise the dialogues of the film. Writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla took to his Twitter to write a heartfelt note on the backlash received by the film.

The National Award-winning writer took to his Twitter account and wrote, “The first lesson one can learn from Ramkatha is to respect every emotion. Right or wrong, time changes, feeling remains. I wrote dialogues of more than 4000 lines in Adipurush, some sentiments got hurt on 5 lines. In those hundreds of lines, where Shri Ram was glorified, Maa Sita’s chastity was described, praise was also to be received for her, which I don’t know why I did not get.”

Reacting to the backlash, he further added, “My own brothers wrote indecent words for me on social media. The same my own, for whose respected mothers I read poems many times on TV, addressed my own mother with indecent words. I kept thinking, there can be differences, but where did my brothers suddenly get so bitter that they forgot to see Shri Ram who considered every mother as his mother. Sitting at the feet of Shabri, as if sitting at the feet of Kaushalya.”

Confirming that the makers of Adipurush will be revising the dialogues from the film, Manoj wrote, “Me and the producer-director of the film have decided that some of the dialogues which are hurting you, We’ll revise them, and they’ll be added to the film this week. May Shri Ram bless you all! #Adipurush #JaiShreeRam.”
