THE release date of Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film Tejas is finally out! The actor took to Instagram to confirm that the film will be released on October 20. The film will now clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganpath.

In the first photo shared on Instagram, Kangana – dressed in an airforce uniform-  looks fierce as she walks out of an aircraft. In the second still, the actor, sports an intense look in what looks like an action sequence. With her clothes smeared in dust, Kangana can be seen walking away from a burning car.

Kangana shared these two stills with a message that read, “Honouring the bravery of our heroic Air Force Pilots! Tejas, releasing in cinemas on 20th October.”

The film features Kangana essaying the role of an airforce pilot Tejas Gill. Ronnie Screwvala’s production house RSVP also took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film.

Written and directed by the talented Sarvesh Mewara, the movie revolves around the incredible journey of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot, and aims at drilling a deep sense of pride in the valiant soldiers who diligently defend our nation, combating multiple challenges along the way.
The movie will now lock horns with Tiger Shroff starrer Ganapath Part 1.

Since it is the Dussherra weekend, Kangana’s movie will also be pitted against Thalapathy Vijay starrer Leo which is slated for October 19 release and Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial The Vaccine War which will hit the theatres on October 20.

Since a box office clash during the festive season is inevitable, Kangana had earlier expressed her displeasure. Her movie Emergency was scheduled to release on October 20, a week after which the Tiger Shroff starrer was announced to release on the same day. This didn’t go down well with the Tanu Weds Manu actress.

The actress alleged in her tweets that the makers of Ganapath Part 1 declared the release date to be the same as hers following a series of ‘panic meetings in the Bollywood mafia gangs’. She also claimed that Bollywood has turned ‘self-destructive’ and was intentionally making movies clash at the box office.
