At 60, Actor Ashish Vidyarthi Gets Married To Fashion Designer Rupali Barua

POPULAR actor Ashish Vidyarthi, who was recently in the Netflix series Trial By Fire, has remarried at the age of 60. The actor tied the knot with long-time partner and fashion designer, Rupali Barua in a private ceremony at a Kolkata club on Thursday.

Several pictures from Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Barua’s intimate wedding have been going viral on social media. In the pictures, the newlyweds can be seen wearing garlands around their neck and posing happily for photographs. The duo twinned in traditional white outfits for their wedding.

Ashish Vidyarthi was previously married to Rajoshi Barua, the daughter of popular Bengali film actress Shakuntala Barua. Speaking to Times of India, Ashish spoke about his decision to get married again. “At this stage of my life, getting married to Rupali is an extraordinary feeling. We had a court marriage in the morning, followed by a get-together in the evening,” the actor said.

While the couple did not disclose how they met, Rupali Barua added, “We met some time ago and decided to take it forward. But both of us wanted our wedding to be a small family affair. He is a beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”

After the news of Ashish Vidyarthi surfaced on social media, his ex-wife Rajoshi Barua posted a cryptic message via her Instagram account. “The right one will not make you question what you mean to them. They will not do what they know hurts you. Remember that,” read the Instagram story by Rajoshi.

“May the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. You’ve been strong long enough, its time to start receiving your blessings. You deserve it,” read another one of her stories.

A prominent actor in the Indian film industry, Ashish Vidyarthi has acted in over 300 films across 11 languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi, and Bengali. Apart from winning several Filmfare awards, the actor has also been a recipient of the National Award for Best Supporting Actor.
