VIKRAM Bhatt’s 1920: Horrors Of The Heart, featuring Avika Gor and Rahul Dev in key roles, has registered a decent collection at the domestic box office during its opening weekend. For the unversed, 1920: Horrors Of The Heart is the fifth instalment in 1920 horror franchise. Since it was the only Bollywood release to hit the theatres on June 23, it managed to do well at the box office.

Despite mixed reactions from the critics and the viewers, the movie managed to earn Rs 5.42 crore during its first weekend. Clearly, the controversy around Adipurush which proved detrimental for Om Raut’s film, worked in favour of 1920: Horrors Of The Heart. Following massive backlash over misrepresentation of the main characters and pedestrian dialogues used in the movie, Adipurush has taken a free fall at the box office.

Besides Hindi, the film had released in Telugu and Tamil and was successful in contributing about 30-40% to the collections.

Interestingly, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke too continues to perform well at the box office. The Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-starrer has now neared the Rs 80 crore-mark. It collected Rs 2.75 crore on Day 24.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which had hit the theatres on June 2, earned around Rs 5.25 crore on the first day of the release. Even though the film earned mixed reviews, the film has shown a good growth with its total collection now standing at Rs 78.85 crore in India.
